ENERGY CRISIS | |
|
Our continuing ENERGY CRISIS was created to entrap all of us in a constant spiral of increasing costs for same services. I've been studying the problems since 1970 when I began reading Popular Science Magazine. After I went online in 1999, I began researching the problems related with our demands for energy VS. the controled / limited supplies of available resources that are costing more money. It's a classic case of SUPPLY VS. DEMAND, when supply is limited and demand remains constant the result is increased prices. WHAT TO DO ?We need to reduce our demand for foreign oil by developing new domestic supplies for energy. The British are testing a solution that could solve the energy problems for everyone
around the world. In England, in each house that accepts the challenge, there is being
installed a small Co-generator that produces electricity and connects to the national
electric grid. The by product of the Co-generator is heat that is used by the home owner to
heat their domestic hot water and to heat their living space. When the home owner needs
more electricity than their Co-generator produces, they get the extra electric from the
national grid and when they are not demanding electricity, their Co-generator supplies
electricity back to the national grid. So their electric meter runs backwards when they are
producing more electric than they are using. According to online information, a kilowatt of electricity eguals approximately 4,500 BTU's of energy and a gallon of oil equals approximately 100,000 BTU's . So approximately for every 23 kilowatts of electricity produced by a home Co-generator, the British Island is saving a gallon of oil. The saving would probably be more than just a gallon of oil. The electric being fed back into the grid would offset other costs. I am not endorsing this plan, I am bringing it forth for consideration. Before endorsing any plan, I would need to review test data. If it sounds to good to be true, maybe it is? I've been told, "We can't do that in American because it's illegal." If we don't try creative solutions, we will never succeed.
Also under consideration ( to name several ):
