ONLINE PORNOGRAPHY |
|
I became interested in internet PORNOGRAPHY REGULATION when I
accidentally misspelled a word and entered into
an international network of pornography Websites.
I'm old enough to go there, but it was still a surprise.
I looked into a few screening software packages and
wasn't satisfied with their ways of screening pornography.
It seems to me they are creating a continuing
business opportunity for themselves, rather than
offering a solution to the problem of screening for
unwanted content.
Similar to the Movie Industry ratings of 'G',
'PG', 'PG-13' & 'R', the internet could
be rated by using a new separate domain
(.xcom) for pornography Websites. Not censorship,
rating. Here's an example:
A Website disguised as a legitimate site
can sneak past Webscreener Software. I won't shock
you with Pornography, if you're reading this, you're probably
an adult and you have probably been surprised. Surprise
Pornography can be regulated by forcing the creators of all
Pornography Websites to use the domain ending (.xcom ). Then browsers
can screen the name easily. If desired, for a small regulatory fee,
other Browsers may be updated to allow for .XCOM Websites. Same as the Movie Industry, Websites could be reviewed
and if necessary, stamped with an .xcom content rating. Pornography Websites that attempt to
sneak past the .XCOM rating with legitimate sounding .COM names could simply be fined
or deactivated.
Please support me and help me change our course.
